Hello all,
Life has been busy. Yes indeed. I feel bad because I haven't gotten anything up since that first splurge when I first came to Deviantart. I have been mostly writing, and I don't think I will ever come out of the developement stage enough to actually get started. I have the first four pages written out, but they still don't feel right, and I have edited them at least 6 times already. *frustrated* I believe I have posted them in my gallery if you want to take a look and if you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know.
Finals week is over. *phew*. I got an A in band and choir (oh goodness) and a B in Cell Biology, a B- in Marine and Freshwater Invertebrates, and a C+ in Statistics. That last one irritates me, because I had an A+ in Statistics three weeks before the end of the class. I completely BOMBED the last test. WORST TEST EVER. I left half of it blank simply because I had no idea where to start. That day was one of those days where I just wanted to lie down in the middle of the sidewalk and cry my eyes out. *sighs*..well. I guess the grades aren't too bad...but they aren't helping my case for Grad school at all. I need at least a 3.4 to get to my grad school of choice, and right now I have a 3.0.
Other than that, I am currently at home, going out of my mind because I can't get along with my parents. It seems I have turned "too liberal" for their liking. So now I just try to avoid my parents as much as possible. I am very happy to see my brother and sister though.
I wonder how I am possibly going to this story underway? Now I know how JKR felt when she was writing the first volume of Harry Potter. What...it took her ten years to get it out? Geez. I have been working on this one since before graduation from highschool, and now I am a Junior in college. It is a very complicated story, and sometimes I feel as if I am making it far too complicated for my own good. It is a sort of steampunk story (I've been told) that has to do with the destruction of nature and the human race through science and greed. Just for your information, I am NOT religious, and I am a scientist, so it's not like I'm trying to develop a SCIENCE IS EVIL message. I think science is amazing.
I say that I am making this complicated because I am trying to make magic as scientifically believable as possible. So there is a lot of integration of the theories of physics, chemistry, biology, philosophy...etc.etc. There is a lot of genetic engineering and creating of new organisms and stuff about 4th dimensions and energy fields and......*sighs*....I may be digging my own grave here. OR..OR..or...or...I could be writing the best piece of fantasy fiction there ever was to grace this earth.....*ahem*. Yeah right. I doubt it. Anyways...if anyone is interested... I can give them the brief (is that possible?) overview of the storyline.
Other than that....I have been going to bed at 2 or 3 am everymorning and waking up at noon everday. I seem to think better at 1am for some reason. Doesn't quite make sense to me. Whatever. Okay...back to writing. Or developing..or...whatever.
